However, the passage of time has taken its toll, leaving them covered in layers of rust and dirt. The fate of these once mighty machines remains uncertain, with no clear indication of whether they will ever be resurrected.

Find Of The Century?

Among the collection of forgotten F1 cars, one can spot the iconic Benetton of Michael Schumacher and the legendary Lotus. These cars, with their original decals and brand sponsors, seem too good to be true.

A Facebook user, Julien Def, thought he had stumbled upon the find of the century when he discovered this abandoned F1 car graveyard near his home in France. Excitedly, he shared pictures of the cars on social media, unaware of the truth behind them.

Not Quite What They Thought

It turns out that these cars are not genuine Formula 1 cars, but rather replicas built by a French company called Team Les Galapaits. Intended for teenagers, these replicas were equipped with 2CV motorbike engines instead of the powerful V10 engines found in real F1 cars.

They were used at Circuit Pierre Monnier in Grenoble, France, but were never used in official races

Not All Bad

Despite the disappointment of discovering that these cars were not the real deal, they still captured the imagination of many. The allure of owning a piece of F1 history led to the cars being put up for sale, with a price tag of around $60,000.

However, a later update confirmed that all the cars have been sold, leaving us to wonder what their new owners have in store for them.

Will They Race Again?

While these abandoned Formula 1 cars may not have the illustrious racing history we initially believed, they still serve as a reminder of the passion and dedication that goes into the sport.

Perhaps, in the hands of their new owners, they will once again find themselves on the track, roaring with the same intensity and power that made them legends in the first place. Only time will tell.
